How screening works
A visibility score helps locate friction in the public experience. The evidence and next steps matter more than the number.
Effective September 9, 2026Start with public information
You identify the organization and share its public channels. The screening checks accessible website content, submitted profiles, public search results and relevant local sources. Church and nonprofit screenings also use location context and the activity timing you provide.
Search services and websites can block access or return outdated results. Sources with similar names may belong to another organization. Open the linked evidence and confirm the identity before treating a finding as final.
Read the rubric for your organization
The screening organizes findings into five areas and an overall score out of 100. Businesses are assessed for findability, message clarity, trust signals, consistency and customer pathways. Church and nonprofit reports use a sector-appropriate rubric for discovery, clarity, readiness, consistency and visible activity.
Scores come from the report’s criteria and available inputs. A score is not a direct measure of search position, audience size or commercial performance, and scores from different sector rubrics should not be treated as identical benchmarks.
Separate evidence from estimates
- Current score: the result of the screening’s checks and inputs at the time of the report. Automated detection is not a guarantee that every finding has been manually verified.
- Planning target or potential: an estimate of what could improve if the recommended corrections are completed. It is not an already-achieved result or a guarantee.
- Missing or uncertain evidence: information the screening could not confirm. Check the source directly before assuming a service, profile or activity is absent.
- Local context: public geographic and population data that helps explain the area. It is not the organization’s actual reach, participant count or private audience analytics.
Understand the boundaries
The baseline screening does not access private analytics, ad accounts, private social groups, donor or customer records, or internal systems. Public snippets are not a complete review history. A working link does not prove that a form submits successfully.
These screenings do not establish full accessibility conformance, security, legal compliance, organizational quality, or ministry health. They cannot promise growth in rankings, traffic, revenue, attendance or donations.
Use the findings to choose the next step
- Check the report date and source links.
- Confirm names, locations and any apparent conflicts.
- Choose the correction that most improves someone’s ability to find you or act.
- Complete the change and verify it on the public source.
- Run a fresh screening and compare like-for-like evidence.
The baseline is free. The $160 annual in-depth analysis adds a deeper review and a prioritized plan. Implementation is scoped separately.
Ask for a correction or an accessible explanation
Email sales@purposedrivenmedia.group with your report identifier, the finding in question, and a relevant public link. We can review the evidence and discuss what the score means for your organization.
